●What are the differences between the web version and fax version of Port View?
The information provided is the same for both versions.
The basic fee is 4860 yen/month for the web version and 5400 yen/month
for the fax version. A further 1620 yen is charged per additional
page for both the web and fax versions (including consumption tax).

What are the differences between the tracking information search and the schedule viewing by port services? |
With the tracking information search service, you can check real-time information of ships by port. It is also possible to search for tracking information using multiple search criteria, i.e., by agency, nationality, call sign, ship name and berth. You can also view a list of ships in a port.
With the schedule viewing by port service, you can view schedules of a port from the current day (the date of update) to two weeks later.
We recommend you to use the tracking information search service if you want more accurate and immediate information and the schedule viewing by port service if you want to obtain schedule estimates (without specific times), e.g., which ship enters a given port at approximately what time. Note that the schedule viewing by port service is included in the tracking information search service.
●What happens from application to the start of services?
Please print out the application form from the application page, fill in the necessary items and sign it, and then send it via fax. Upon receiving the application, we send a reply to you with your authorized user ID and password via fax. Please note that we charge the fee per month; we do not calculate the service charge on a per diem basis.
●What is required to view Port View (web version)?
TheAcrobat Readersoftware from Adobe is required. You can download this software from the Adobe's home page free of charge.
●Is it possible to be notified of real-time operation information?
With the tracking information search service, you can view information updated in real time, such as past history data, operation schedules and current states of ships. If you require further detailed information, we provide services for answering inquires via telephone; please feel free to inquire about this.
